Collection: Birkenstock
Birkenstock is a German based company which was created in 1894 with the creative design of flexible footbed insoles and in 1925 a large factory was built to produce and maintain the high demand of these products. Birkenstock has since formed a Company Group in 2013 to expand the core business of the Birkenstock Brand.
The company’s primary focus is based on quality and natural materials. A large portion of the materials used to create Birkenstock footwear is derived from sustainable sources such as cork, natural latex, leather, jute, copper, brass and wool feat. Given their durability, Birkenstock products are also sustainable by nature.
Environmental protection has long been paramount at Birkenstock. Sustainability is the company ethos which is reflected with the brand continually working to improve all aspects of the operations of the Company.
Birkenstock Australia comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations. Their goals are to adopt and develop the best practice in sustainable retail and to ensure environmental impacts are minimised across all aspects of the Australian operations. In making purchasing decisions, Birkenstock Australia gives preference to products that combine quality, function, value for money and environmental performance.
