Founded by footwear specialist Paul Carroll, Klouds Australia was created to solve a common problem: women should never have to choose between comfort and style. After more than 20 years in comfort footwear retail, Paul and John Carroll worked with podiatrists, physiotherapists and surgical bootmakers to design stylish footwear that supports foot health, orthotics, bunions and plantar fasciitis.

First produced in 2001, Klouds quickly became a leading comfort footwear brand across Australia, with selected styles later approved as medical grade footwear. The brand expanded internationally to New Zealand and the United States, gaining a global reputation for fashionable comfort shoes.

Klouds continued to innovate with technologies such as STRATIFORM memory foam cushioning and stretch leather uppers designed to relieve pressure on sensitive feet and provide flexible fitting for bunions, hammertoes and arthritis. The introduction of the Silver Lining range expanded the brand to include stylish everyday comfort footwear with hidden support.

Today, Klouds remains a leader in orthotic-friendly and comfort footwear, combining innovative technology, premium materials and modern design to create shoes that support foot health without compromising style.
